Should I wait?
So I found out I have peridontal disease and some cavities that need repair. When they do these procedures they use a numbing agent. My dental work will be done as of August 18th. So I am wondering if I should post pone TTC until the dental work is done to be on the safe side? I know its only 8 days or so but those could be the day. I don't know. On one hand our son is only 10 months and I know it would hurt us to wait but then I am like what if because of our IUD and breastfeeding it takes a long time to concieve. If I was preggo by the time my dental work was done I would be only like 8 days along that should hurt anything.....What do you think?
The Mirena Crash
Let me start by saying I love love my mirena IUD. I loved having it in and didn't have any serious complications or side effects. I had one in for 4 years and never had a period. I had it taken out and got preggo 9 days after removal with my son. I got a new one put in 6 weeks post partum. I just had it taken out August 6th to TTC. So far cramping and bleeding. But I felt so blah, and touchy and moody and nauseous. After some research this phenomenon where your body regulates the hormones after removal is called the Mirena crash and it is not fun. But day 5 and I feel great now! Ready to TTC!
Breastfeeding and TTC
I am torn about if I should stop breastfeeding to TTC. My little guy is only 10 and half months and I am not ready to take that away from him or me! I had a mirena IUD in for 9 months after I gave birth and never had a period with it in. So I don't know if I am ovulating or not. I am not waiting for a period we are going to go ahead and start TTC. And I am going to continue to feed my little guy and connect with him. When he hits 12 months I will start to cut back on some feedings and gradually reduce it but keep his and my fav night time feeding and morning feeding. But that is 2 months off and I will cross that bridge when I come to it. Many people have gotten preggo while breast feeding. It is not reliable. They say your chances greatly improve if: your child is older than 6 months, you are not exclusively breastfeeding, they eat solids, and sleep for longer stretches through the night or you go more than four hours between feedings. So that at least ups my chances I don't know!

Baby Bunching?
So after much deliberation my hubby and I decided to try for baby number 2. Let the rejoicing and happiness begin from those around us. But no. Our son is 10 months old. So that gives everyone the right to critisize or doubt the love we have for our first born. It's so frustrating. We are very educated people who are fully aware of the decisions we make. Which we don't go into anything lightly without researching and budeting. We are finacially stable and own our home. However, we have already heard:
1. You can't do it.
2. It's too soon!
3. Don't you love your son?
4. What are you thinking?!
*Please keep your opinions to yourself people! We are not even sure it will happen right away. Luckily we have not told close family we are trying yet.
